With a network of national coordinators connected to over 3000 local informationproviders and partners in 37 European countries, Eurodesk is the main source ofinformation on European policies and opportunities for young people and those who workwith them. Eurodesk Brussels Link coordinates the activities of national Eurodeskcentres, with the support of the Erasmus+ programme. The network also updates andmanages content on the European Youth Portal.

Eurodesk Brussels Link is seeking a Campaign and Audiovisual Officer to oversee and coordinate the development of youth information campaigns and projects. The candidate will work across a number of existing and new campaigns creating (audiovisual) content and strategies with the support and cooperation of the communication and graphic design departments. We are looking for an energetic, hardworking, team player, social media-savvy person, with proven campaigning skills committed to bringing youth information to young people, engaging and empowering them as active citizens.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Develop campaign plans for Eurodesk campaigns and projects such as Time to Move, advising on the design and development of activities and products, making use of in-house resources as well as external support if required.
  • Undertake research as required to inform campaign activities.
  • Coordinate the development of campaigning materials in line with the organisation's branding strategy and communication plan (brochures, games, key messages for social media campaigns and scripts for videos).
  • Tailor communications to effectively reach diverse audiences (youth workers and/or young people and specific groups).
  • Record/edit high-quality videos and sound (from eLearning modules to social media social videos), and produce quality outputs including photos, videos, animations and infographics.
  • Write and develop the content for Eurodesk campaigns and develop some of these materials (texts, brochures, leaflets, videos, images) in partnership with the communication and branding teams.
  • Capacity to mobilise the Eurodesk network around Eurodesk campaigns to help achieve change (guidance, training and support).
  • Ensure the website is regularly updated with campaign news and events and support the development of campaign websites such as the EP Elections campaign website with the support of the IT team.
  • Other duties that may from time to time be necessary, as advised by the director.

  • Highly creative skills, as well as project management and time management skills are prerequisites for this position.
  • Excellent English communication skills, verbally, in written documents and via online and social media and capacity to adapt language to various audiences
  • Creativity in developing multimedia content for engaging audiences.
  • Ability to record and post-process/edit high-quality videos and sound using modern equipment and software.
  • Strategic understanding of the purpose, context, goals, and objectives of Eurodesk and how to turn these values into meaningful campaigns for youth
  • Understanding of and interest in youth issues.
  • Knowledge and skills to design, implement, monitor and evaluate campaigns
  • Capacity to stay up-to-date with best practices in all sectors and seek opportunities to implement them within the organisation.
  • Assist in organising and executing promotional events, webinars, training and promotional activities.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and enhance organisational effectiveness.
  • Highly motivated and able to work autonomously as well as follow outlined directions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Commitment to the aims of Eurodesk, including promoting youth mobility and youth participation, inclusion, diversity and well-being.
  • Relevant education and training in the field; volunteer experience is a big plus.
  • Experience in voluntary and/or political campaigning, or working in voluntary sector organisations, social enterprises or the media.
  • Experience in writing campaigning or publicity materials (leaflets, briefings, webpages etc.).
  • Experience working with membership-based organisations is desirable
  • Experience using Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro), socialmedia (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook) and websites CMS (WordPress andDrupal).
  • Familiarity with analytics tools to measure campaign performance and provideactionable insights.

Conditions

  • Permanent contract.
  • Full-time basis (38h/week), which will be part of the regular working hours of Eurodesk Brussels Link in Brussels.
  • The applicant shall be in the capacity to relocate to Brussels and work in an international environment (English is the working language).
  • The monthly gross salary is 2400 EUR.
  • Benefits include a 13th month, lunch vouchers, local transport contribution and an insurance plan.

This role requires occasional travel to meetings across Europe
